More About Mr. Kovacs

A BIT ABOUT YOUR PRINCIPAL...

It is an honor to serve as the first principal of Edgerton Elementary. This is an attempt to give you a brief overview of who I am and where I come from. I look forward to getting to know you all more personally soon.

Educational Experience -
17 years in the Puyallup School District
10 years teaching grades 3-9, 7 years as a principal
Taught oversees for two years (Shanghai, China)
Have been part of the staff at Wildwood, Kalles JH, Firgrove, Shanghai American School and Waller Road
Was the district's 6th Grade Camp Coordinator and K-12 Social Studies Director

Have lived in -
Tacoma, Colorado Springs, Parkland, Puyallup, Shanghai (China) and Graham

My wife and I have -
two children...4th and 6th graders at Woodland Elementary

I enjoy -
Watching movies
Outdoor activities (hiking, camping, swimming)
Walking with my wife
Playing games with my kids
Participating in sports (especially basketball)
Traveling (have been to Australia, New Zealand, Italy, Greece, China, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia, and most of the United States, including Hawaii and Alaska)
...laughing and enjoying life!
